If you have dental anxiety, then our dentist, Dr. Lisa Halliday, would like to help you cope with it. That way you can have a more comfortable, relaxing, and positive dental experience at our office. Fortunately, there are many things you can do to finally wash away your nerves while you’re in the dental chair, and those things are:

-Speak up: Tell your dentist about how you feel. If our dental team knows how you feel, we will take extra measures to make sure you are comfortable and cared for. We can even establish a “stop” signal if that would help you feel better.

-Distract yourself: Bring things to take your mind off the treatment, like music, your favorite movie, a stress ball, or even a fidget spinner. This can help you relax and maybe even have a little bit of fun.

-Use calming techniques: Try counting your breaths while you’re in the dental chair. Inhale slowly and then exhale slowly. This can calm your heart rate, help you control your breathing, and eliminate some nerves.
